Unendurable Torment

In the words of Allah ï·»,

"When they catch sight of it from a distant place, they will hear its raging and its roaring."
[25:12]

The Prophet Muhammad ï·º vividly depicted Hellfire as being dragged by 70,000 angels, each with 70,000 chains.
[Abu Dawud]

This is the terrifying panorama that awaits the wrongdoers on the Day of Judgment!
An enormous, wrathful force striving to engulf and seize them!
A fire described by the Prophet ï·º to be 70 times more scorching than the fires of this world!
[Bukhari 3265]

As Allah ï·» states,

"The day We shall say to Hell, 'Are you filled?' And it will say, 'Are there any more?'"
[50:30]

The very purpose of Hellfire is to punish the disobedient!
In the words of the Prophet ï·º,

"People will be thrown into Jahannam, and it will persistently seek more, until the Almighty places His Foot over it and it will plead, 'Enough, enough, by Your grace and mercy!'"
[Bukhari & Muslim]

Sinner, reflect by holding your hand near a simple candle's flame for just 5 seconds!
Indeed, even that fleeting experience is beyond endurance.

However, Allah ï·» declares,

"Abiding therein for ages."
[78:23]

Ask yourself,
If you can't bear 5 seconds, *how will you bear that eternity?

Ponder, O Sinner!
If this truth doesn't penetrate your core and evoke fear, then what will?

Remember, just because we can't see it doesn't mean it's not approaching!

Spare yourself the agony of regret by preventing and repenting in this world, while you still have the chance!

Recall, many before you uttered the word 'tomorrow,' only to see it never arrive.
The Prophet ï·º reminded us,
"O people, turn to your Lord, for I seek His forgiveness and repent more than seventy times in a day."
[Sahih Bukhari 5948]

There are numerous ways to seek forgiveness, yet the simplest is to say "Astaghfirullah" - "O Allah, forgive me."

If the Prophet ï·º, who was free from sin, sought forgiveness 70 times a day,
What about us?
Contemplate and repent.
